Senior Accountant

We are hiring a Senior Accountant to join our team! If you’re driven to learn, take initiative, and excel in a dynamic, fast-moving environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you. In this role, you’ll handle tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, fixed assets, and project reporting while partnering with teams across the business. Location

The ideal candidate should be based out of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro area and should be willing to commute to the office 3-6 days per month.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 annually, plus a 10% bonus opportunity. Please note that the base salary will vary based on market conditions and the candidate's experience.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of fixed asset, project, and lease accounting, working with business partners to ensure accuracy of accounting records.
• Reporting and analysis of fixed assets and projects in process.
• Prepare journal entries, analysis, and reconciliations in accordance with GAAP. Including fixed assets, intangibles, projects in process, and lease accounts.
• Provide accounting support to field operations and other corporate departments.
• May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 4+ years’ experience in corporate accounting OR 3+ years audit experience in public accounting
• Fixed asset experience
• Strong GAAP knowledge
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, and proven ability to learn new technology systems and work with large data sets
• Proven organizational skills; detail oriented; and excellent communication skills
• Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end close process
• Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions. Works independently; needing minimal guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:

These are nice-to-have qualifications and not mandatory for consideration—please apply even if you don’t meet all of them.

• CPA
• Background working with modern technology solutions, such as cloud-based ERP systems, business intelligence tools like PowerBI, and leveraging AI to drive process automation.
• Experience and knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting
