This role is responsible for owning and continuously improving end-to-end accounting processes, including fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, intercompany transactions, and month-end close processes across multiple regions, with a strong focus on automation, scalability, and accuracy.
The ideal candidate is an AI-forward Chartered Accountant who is passionate about transforming accounting processes and leveraging technology to drive efficiency and insights.
1. Month-end close & core accounting
- Prepare month-end journal entries in NetSuite in line with internal policies, US GAAP, IFRS and applicable statutory frameworks.
- Prepare global contractor accruals and ensure completeness and accuracy in terms of recognition in the P&L
- Perform flux analysis at a detailed level for income statement and balance sheet items, proactively identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare intercompany month-end workings as per transfer pricing agreements for all international entities
- Providing accurate cash visibility and insights.
- Manage fixed assets - capitalization, disposals, and monthly depreciation
- Perform monthly amortization of prepaids and maintain accurate schedules
- Continuously identify opportunities to automate manual processes using AI and workflow tools.
2. Reconciliations & reporting
- Prepare and upload monthly balance sheet reconciliations in FloQast for timely review, ensuring high-quality documentation and audit readiness.
- Ensure accurate department-wise cost allocation (e.g., insurance, employee vouchers)
- Own weekly cash reporting to management and monthly financial reporting tasks
- Drive standardization and simplification of reconciliations and reporting processes.
3. Statutory & technical accounting
- Support statutory accounting and reporting for global entities, including India-based operations.
- Help identify and reconcile differences between statutory and primary ledgers (US GAAP) on a monthly basis.
- Assist in drafting technical accounting memos and financial statements, including notes and disclosures
- Stay current on evolving accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS) and proactively assess impact.
4. Audit & compliance support
- Assist with statutory, group, and internal audit queries and related tasks
- Coordinate with compliance partners to support timely statutory filings
- Proactively strengthen internal controls where applicable.
5. Transformation, automation & AI
- Actively leverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot, automation platforms, data tools) to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of accounting processes
- Identify and lead initiatives to reduce manual work, improve cycle times, and enhance data quality
- Champion a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and intelligent automation within the accounting function
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1–4 years of relevant experience in accounting or audit environments.
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, reconciliations, audits and core concepts of US GAAP and IFRS (Ind AS/India GAAP is a plus).
- Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and financial close tools.
- Demonstrated use of AI/tools in daily work to drive productivity, insights, or process improvement.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Willingness to occasionally take calls overlapping EMEA / US time zones
