Overview
Olympus Housing Capital (OHC) is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the accounting and financial operations of its growing residential real estate finance platform. This role will be responsible for project and holding company accounting, transaction support, construction draw activity, intercompany accounting, consolidated reporting, and budgeting across a portfolio of real estate development investments. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly close and reporting processes, and helping strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, and operational workflows as the company continues to scale. This position is ideal for an accounting professional with strong technical accounting capabilities, experience in project-based or real estate environments, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization
This role will begin with a three-month training period based in our Dallas office, after which the position will transition to a permanent location in Las Colinas.
Key Responsibilities
Project Accounting
• Manage accounting for real estate development projects and related holding companies
• Support deal onboarding, transaction closings, project setup, and funding activities
• Review and process construction draws, builder reimbursements, and project-level revenue recognition
• Maintain project reconciliations, supporting schedules, monthly close activities, project-level budget tracking, and reporting
Intercompany, Consolidation & Technical Accounting
• Track, process, and ensure timely payment of builder-related expenses
• Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidated reporting across OHC and subsidiary entities
• Research and apply GAAP guidance related to revenue recognition, consolidations, capitalization, and transaction accounting
• Assist with drafting, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Help create and ensure compliance with company accounting policies, reporting standards, and internal control procedures
Finance Reporting & Process Improvement
• Maintain vendor master data and support onboarding
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, monthly reporting packages, and budget-to-actual analyses
• Assist with financial statement preparation, forecasting support, and management reporting
• Create and maintain weekly cash flow analysis
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting visibility, and operational scalability
• Support ongoing NetSuite optimization, reporting structure improvements, and accounting system enhancements

Professional Experience
Qualifications
• 3–6+ years of accounting experience within real estate, development, construction, private equity real estate, or project-based environments
• Strong understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, consolidations, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Experience with project accounting and intercompany accounting preferred
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills required
• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities

- Experience in a client-facing role preferred
- Investment accounting experience is highly desirable
- Highly proficient in business related software: Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.
