We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team! The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing oversight to the Finance group and other levels of the management team as it pertains to external & internal financial reporting and budgeting activities of Community Health Care. This position assumes responsibility for the more complex accounting functions of the month-end close as well as special projects as driven by organizational requirements. This role serves as the fiscal expert on the financial statements and collaborates with the managers in understanding the financials and assist them in making better financial decisions for the organization. This role ensures best practices by assisting in the development, implementation and completion of accounting policies and internal control procedures as well as keeping abreast of regulatory changes which may impact the organization. Effectiveness in this position is dependent upon strong interpersonal communications, analytical skills, problem solving, fact finding, and independent judgment and decision-making. Plus, other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Four years’ experience in accounting field
- Strong accounting skills, including the ability to work with multiple financial-related tasks such as general ledger applications, audit, and account reconciliation.
- Expertise in financial software utilization
