The main purpose of this position is to assist with the preparation of the Company’s consolidated financial statements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements for subsidiary companies and monitor other activities of the companies. Includes generation and input of journal entries, closing subsidiary ledgers, and maintenance of the fixed asset system for those subsidiaries. Preparation of reports uses a combination of Workday, Excel, and other systems.
- Assist in the month end preparation and consolidation of Werner Enterprises financial statements.
- Conduct analysis on account balances and account activity as necessary to explain variances, identify issues and support comprehensive disclosure.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Accounting.
- Four years prior accounting experience, with progression.
- Experience in both public and private accounting preferred.
- Experience in both domestic and international accounting preferred.
- Experience in Workday preferred.Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles required.
- Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Good technical background; strong computer skills; ability to work in multiple platforms and databases.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
