Senior Accountant

About the Role

The Senior Accountant at Solutions by Text is a key role responsible for overseeing financial activities and ensuring accuracy and compliance. This position involves vendor invoice and payment processing, financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, financial audit schedule preparation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, financial analysis skills, and proficiency in NetSuite or similar financial software. Position Objectives

In this role, you will: 

• Assist in ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing and reporting, in compliance with US GAAP
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis for month-end close
• Perform monthly financial closing activities including preparing commentaries for variance analysis as requested
• Prepare financial analyses and reports as needed
• Primary responsibilities for the Company’s accounts payable processes including:
  • Facilitating invoice and payment processing to ensure timely completion and accuracy as well as adherence to documented Company policies and processes
  • Assist in managing vendor relationships and responding to inquiries from both vendors and internal clients
  • Oversee the monthly accounts payable close procedures, including accrual journal entries, GL account reconciliations, and transaction uploads to NetSuite
• Liaise with external auditors when required
• Conduct research to resolve vendor, employee, or client inquiries accurately
• Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as requested by the CFO

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of related experience
• Solid understanding of US GAAP
• Experience with high-tech companies in the Software and/or SaaS sectors is preferred
• Good understanding of financial controls, internal controls, Corporate Governance, and risk management
• Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and execute under pressure
• Strong problem-solving, research, resolution, and data analysis skills. Eager to grow and adapt in a changing and fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Experience with NetSuite, MineralTree, Concur, and Salesforce is a plus
