Curant Health is searching for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Smyrna, GA. This position is primarily responsible for assisting the Corporate Controller in ensuring data entered in the financial software system is accurate and reconciled monthly.

Responsibilities

  • Create accurate and up-to-date financial records, including recording transactions, posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and producing reports. [cash, payroll and benefits, a/p, fixed assets, prepaids, leases, employee travel expenses, a/r and revenue]
  • Reconcile bank statements with general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Assist with preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statement, cash flow statement, and other schedules to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Monitor expenses, analyze spending patterns, and identify opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements.
  • Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Assist auditors during financial audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support as needed.
  • Monitor compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies, and recommend and implement necessary changes or improvements.
  • Manage cash flow, including monitoring cash balances and preparing cash forecasts.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to provide financial information, analysis, and support for decision-making processes.
  • Special Projects as needed, such as bank reconciliation automation, accounts payable automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, and be able to transcribe with accuracy. PIONEER RX software experience preferred.

Compensation: $75,000–$85,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
