Position Overview
Vectra AI is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our global Accounting team. This role will support the monthly close process, maintain accurate financial records, and help improve accounting processes as the company continues to grow.
You will report to our U.S.-based Senior Accounting Manager and work closely with colleagues across Accounting, Finance, People Operations, Legal, and other business teams. This is a remote position based in India.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses as part of the monthly close process.
- Own assigned accounting areas and investigate and resolve reconciliation differences or data issues.
- Support accounting for areas such as fixed assets, payroll-related accruals, commissions, allocations, and intercompany transactions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather supporting documentation and ensure transactions are recorded accurately.
- Assist with external audits and maintain clear accounting and internal control documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate accounting processes.
- Support cash, treasury, and other accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of month-end close, account reconciliations, and U.S. GAAP.
- Experience with NetSuite or another large ERP system.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Close attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across functions and time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a U.S.-based or global company.
- CA, CMA, CPA, or another relevant accounting qualification.
- Experience with audits, internal controls, or process automation.
- The expected working hours are 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM IST, with some flexibility required during month-end and quarter-end close .
