The Senior Accountant is responsible for independently executing complex accounting activities that support the financial close process. This role applies professional accounting knowledge to prepare and review journal entries, perform detailed reconciliations, analyze financial results, and resolve accounting issues. The Senior Accountant serves as a key contributor to accounting accuracy, compliance, and process effectiveness while providing guidance to less experienced team members. This role performs work under general supervision and handles moderately complex issues and problems, referring to more complex issues to higher-level staff.

What You’ll Do:
- Independently prepare and post complex journal entries during the month-end close process.
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Prepare recurring accruals, estimates, and supporting calculations in accordance with accounting policies.
- Investigate account fluctuations and provide variance explanations to management.
- Assist in preparing schedules and documentation supporting internal and external audits.
- Review accounting activity completed by less experienced staff for completeness and accuracy.
- Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with operational and finance teams to research accounting matters and resolve issues.
- Maintain high-quality documentation supporting assigned accounting areas.
- Assist with implementation of accounting policy updates and process changes.
- Support special projects, system enhancements, and organizational initiatives.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
