We are partnering with our client for a hands-on Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to take ownership of key accounting functions and help support the company's continued growth. This role will have broad exposure across accounting, payroll, subsidiaries, audit, and cross-functional finance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Own key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including invoicing, revenue recognition, accruals, prepaids, and journal entries.
Prepare and maintain balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
Manage full-cycle accounting for U.S. and foreign subsidiaries (UK), including intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
Process payroll and record payroll-related journal entries and accruals.
Partner with HR on payroll, benefits, and compensation-related accounting.
Support annual financial audits and corporate tax filings, working with external auditors and advisors.
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting schedules in NetSuite.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and systems.
Participate in ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a technology or high-growth environment.
Prior experience working within Big 4 is preferred.
Strong experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and payroll accounting.
Experience with U.S. and/or international subsidiary accounting preferred.
Strong NetSuite experience required.
Familiarity with Expensify, Paylocity, or similar platforms.
Experience supporting audits and tax filings.
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a high level of integrity and work ethic.
