YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK
As a Senior Accountant you will take part in financial processes and conduct daily accounting operations. Perform the end-to-end Accounts Payable process. You will engage in the preparation of reliable and adequate financial and operational reports. You will be expected to be determined to make the financial control of the month-end closing a success. You will be involved in projects from a financial point of view and assist with financial issues and preparing the annual accounts. You will be assisting in managing our financial assistant, driving timely close and financial reporting processes on a monthly basis. In addition to the above you will:
 
• Supporting and Assisting the Finance Director, Japan.
• Ensuring  accuracy, timeliness and completeness of the financial records of CIC Tokyo.
• Preparing and closing the monthly reports, including being hands-on preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and various analytics.
• Manage monthly billing to customers and AR aging.
• Proactively contributing to the optimization of various processes in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
• Fixed Assets management, including maintenance of fixed asset records, depreciation calculations, and all related reporting.
• Taking part in Ad-hoc projects.

YOU HAVE
• A minimum Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics (CFA, CPA, ACCA or CIMA is an asset).
• At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting, controlling or financial management.
• Native Japanese and fluent in business English level of speaking, writing and reading.
• Strong working knowledge of financial and forecasting systems.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations both internationally and domestically.
• High interpersonal and communication skills.
• An interest in a long-term role. We are a growing company, and we like to hire people who can grow with us over the years.
• Mainstream ERP user experience such as NetSuite is a plus.
