You join QIAGEN as a Senior Accountant – Accounts Payable, supporting critical finance operations. In this role, you ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing of invoices and payments while contributing to departmental and corporate objectives. You work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, using automated workflows and SAP to deliver high‑quality AP services.
Your tasks includeYou prioritize your daily workload to consistently meet departmental and corporate goals.
You understand QIAGEN’s business objectives and how Accounts Payable directly supports them.
You use the workflow solution efficiently, matching goods received via the PO system and securing approvals according to the approval matrix.
You perform accurate invoice matching in SAP, reconciling purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoice totals.
You investigate and resolve price or quantity variances between purchase orders and invoices.
You review and assign general ledger and cost center accounts for non‑PO invoices and record travel expenses via Concur.
You respond to vendor inquiries, process payments within agreed schedules, and contribute to special projects assigned by your line manager.
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy (preferred), Finance, Economics, or an equivalent qualification.
You bring ideally 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a comparable finance role.
You have solid knowledge of basic accounting principles and automated finance processes.
You are familiar with OCR solutions and ideally have hands‑on experience with SAP.
You demonstrate strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
You communicate confidently in English, both written and spoken.
You are willing to work on the night shift and thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
