About the opportunityJoin QIAGEN’s Global Finance team as a Senior Accountant specializing in Accounts Payable, where you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations across the EMEA region. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced shared services environment, supporting high-volume transaction processing while maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors. You will contribute to financial integrity, compliance (including SOX), and continuous process improvement, while acting as a subject matter expert within the team.
Your tasks include- Process invoices using two-way and three-way matching, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with financial standards
- Manage vendor payments, ensuring timely execution aligned with agreed terms and handling urgent payment requests when needed
- Support vendor lifecycle activities, including onboarding, maintenance, and offboarding in line with segregation of duties (SoD) controls
- Handle employee expense claims via Concur, ensuring compliance with company policies and timely processing
- Prepare accruals for vendors, employees, and intercompany accounts as part of monthly closing activities
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies by collaborating with internal teams and external partners
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME), supporting colleagues and contributing to process improvements and team initiatives
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in shared services or high-volume transaction environments
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage vendor relationships
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to resolve issues and maintain positive stakeholder relationships
