The Finn Partners team in Madison, WI is growing!

We’re looking for a motivated Senior Account Executive, with 2-4 years of agency experience, who is looking to take their career to the next level as a strong mid-level addition to our account teams. This is an opportunity to support clients within the K12 and Higher Education sector, including edtech, curriculum, school safety and security, tutoring, professional development, and more.

As a part of the Finn Team located in Madison, Wisconsin this will be a hybrid position and will consider candidates located in Madison or Chicago.

As our newest Senior Account Executive, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Bring significant exposure to our clients through strong, genuine relationships with media outlets and trade associations.
  • Utilize your strong, on brand writing skills to consistently aid clients in reaching their communication goals.
  • Take an active role on client calls, forming strong relationships with clients and becoming subject matter experts in their business.
  • Mentor junior team members, helping them grow as strong public relations professionals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Composing creative and thoughtful traditional and social media plans to secure earned media.
  • Developing comprehensive, targeted media lists, influencer lists, tailored pitches, content calendars, client content, media materials, social content.
  • Generating ideas and unique pitch angles for media outreach, as well as persuasively pitching media, as required to get the best results.
  • Supporting and sometimes leading client pitch teams; assisting to further develop pitch strategies and approaches.
  • Maintaining regular client contact and serving as the day-to-day client contact during program execution, as assigned.
  • Proactively generating new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success and growth.
  • Creating error-free media materials that are strong in both structure and AP style and aligning with clients’ strategic direction.
  • Preparing project management communications, including planning timelines, client meeting recaps, etc.
  • Developing initial drafts of client presentations and proofing/editing client-related documents, as needed.
  • Actively participating in client calls, meetings and presentations, taking the lead, as assigned.


  • 2-4 years relevant work experience in a marketing communications field
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, initiative-seeker and strong work ethic
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills — able to evaluate self and client work, key learnings and implications that help ensure ongoing improvement for the agency.
  • Strong knowledge of social media channels, monitoring and listening tools/technologies
