QualificationsSYNOPSIS OF DUTIES:
- Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of applicable laws pertaining to the gaming industry.
- Patrols buildings and grounds of the casino and related areas. Examines doors, windows, and gates to assure they are secure.
- Warns violators of enterprise and gaming rule infractions and drinking violations. Apprehends persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
- Inspects equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred. Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, health hazards, and security hazards to the Security Supervisor.
- Observes departing staff to guard against theft of enterprise property.
- Notifies the Security Control Room in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Permits authorized persons to enter the property. Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of equipment or machinery.
- Must obtain First Responder Certification and recertification. Responds to and provides aid to ill/injured guests and employees.
- Be RBS certified and practice this knowledge on a daily basis.
- May be required to assist with other responsibilities as needed.
- Maintaining Title 31 Compliance accurately.
- Other duties as assigned.
PREREQUISITES:
General: Must be age 21 or older. Must qualify for a Tribal Key gaming license. Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred but not required. Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write short correspondence, and memos. Have the ability to write incident reports and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, vendors, and other employees of the enterprise. Have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and the ability to deal with problems as they arise.
Experience: Security, military, or police experience preferred but not required. On-site training is required.
Physical: Requires standing, walking, bending. May be required to lift up to 30 pounds. Must have good vision (corrected to 20/20).
