Sigma Defense is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team in Grand Forks AFB, ND.
This position plays a key role in the development, assessment, and maintenance of cybersecurity architecture, cyber engineering artifacts, cybersecurity performance metrics, RMF authorization packages, and enclave-level cyber strategies supporting system certification requirements.

Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Information assurance IA/Cyber Security or Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Cyber Security Testing methods and processes.
- Cyber defense policy, processes and assessments.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Candidate Differentiators:
- Deep knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Experience achieving and maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) packages.
- Strong understanding of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
- A proactive approach to identifying security risks before they become a compliance issue.
- Success coordinating with ISSMs, system administrators, etc.
- Ability to translate complex cybersecurity requirements into practical guidance for system owners and users.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
Personnel Clearance Level:
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active TS/SCI security clearance or higher.
- Clearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field of study.
- Degree may be substituted for 10+ years of information assurance or Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience.
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):
- Provide advanced technical and analytical cybersecurity support across the full spectrum.
- The specialist ensures the protection, resilience, and compliance of combat systems, networks, and information systems in accordance with DoW, cybersecurity policies, standards, and processes.
- Support full acquisition lifecycle activities, including systems under development, systems in production, and fielded systems undergoing upgrades.
- Provide engineering expertise, risk and vulnerability assessments, STIG execution, cybersecurity test strategy support, and technical leadership in virtualized cyber test environments supporting Integrated Combat Systems (ICS).
Salary Range: $110,000 - $115,000 annually.
