About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Security Engineer II with 5+ years of experience in enterprise firewall and network security technologies. You will manage the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization of security infrastructure across customer environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto Networks, and Cisco security technologies. Along with this, they will have a solid understanding of network architecture, routing, VPNs, segmentation, and security best practices.
This is a hands-on engineering position for someone who can troubleshoot complex network and firewall issues while helping organizations strengthen their overall security posture.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure enterprise firewall and network security solutions.
- Manage Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco ASA/Firepower and related security technologies.
- Create firewall policies, security rules, access-control lists, and network security configurations.
- Configure and troubleshoot NAT, site-to-site VPNs, remote-access VPNs, IPsec, SSL VPNs, and network segmentation.
- Troubleshoot complex network connectivity and firewall-related issues across enterprise environments.
- Analyze firewall traffic, logs, and network behavior to identify security issues and configuration problems.
- Perform firewall rule reviews, cleanup, policy optimization, and security-hardening activities.
- Support firewall migrations, upgrades, replacements, and technology refresh programs.
- Configure and maintain high-availability firewall environments.
- Work with routing and networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and subnetting.
- Partner with SOC, infrastructure, cloud, and security teams during security incidents and investigations.
- Report into Senior Network Security Leadership
Requirements
- Hands-on experience as a Firewall Engineer, Network Security Engineer, or Security Engineer.
- Advanced experience with the following:
- Fortinet FortiGate / FortiManager / FortiAnalyzer
- Palo Alto Networks / PAN-OS / Panorama
- Cisco ASA / Cisco Firepower / Secure Firewall
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise firewall policies and security rules.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, DNS, and network segmentation.
- Experience with IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, remote access, and site-to-site connectivity.
- Experience troubleshooting network traffic and connectivity issues.

Skills Required
- 5+ years of experience with enterprise firewall and network security technologies
