Illuminate USA is seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Coordinator- Nights to join our team for our new factory in Pataskala. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of security operations within an organization on night shift. This position reports to the EHS Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
Oversee, coordinate, and always maintain the overall security of the facility.
Implement and reinforce security policies, procedures, and programs to safeguard associates, assets, and property.
Provide support and oversight to security personnel, maintain security technology systems, conduct risk assessments, audits of security systems and processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure officers patrol premises regularly to ensure the security of buildings, grounds, and assets.
Oversee video surveillance camera monitoring and alarm systems to detect and respond to security investigations, incidents, and threats.
Oversee and maintain the operational security and all access control systems. Operate the security badge access control system to allow or deny access, monitor and support the creation of associate ID badge cards, create and audit system reports, and maintain the site security database systems.
Conduct security checks of all Security Officers, associates, Contractors, visitors, property, vehicles/equipment entering and exiting the premises, and oversee authorized entries.
Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access or activities.
Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, including building operational emergencies, fires, inclement weather, and disturbances.
Investigate and report any suspicious activities, incidents, or security breaches.
Oversee and maintain accurate records of security-related activities, including incident investigation reports, videos, communications, logs, and shift reports.
Assist and support associates, contractors, and visitors in emergency situations.
Collaborate and support on-site Special Duty Sheriff and Police Officers, other local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
Develop and deliver training sessions for Security Officers and associates on security awareness, emergency procedures, and safety protocols.
Perform routine audits and operational maintenance checks on all security equipment and report any malfunctions or defects.
Keep abreast of security trends, developments, and best practices to enhance security measures.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with all associates, contractors, visitors, and vendors.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
Proven experience in security supervision and/or management, preferably in a corporate, industrial, or government setting.
Education and/or training in security or law enforcement preferred.
3-5 years of Security supervision and oversight experience.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate security team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to assess complex security situations and implement appropriate responses.
Knowledge of security technology systems, access control, and alarm systems.
Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security and safety.
Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and manage resources efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in security assessments and investigations.
Commitment to professional development and staying current with advancements in security practices, technologies, and regulations.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and in emergency situations.
Good physical condition, with the ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
