About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Section Head, Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team at RHB Banking Group. In this leadership role, you will oversee a team responsible for delivering end-to-end financial support to Business Units. This includes managing financial operations, performance analysis, compliance advisory, and strategic business partnering to drive effective decision-making and ensure financial integrity across the organization.
What you will be doing
Lead the team in providing end-to-end finance-related support to Business Units in execution and daily operational matters
Review periodic financial information (P&L/Balance Sheet) and analysis to the Business Units and other relevant stakeholders to enable performance management and regulatory reporting
Work with the business to review balance sheet schedules and substantiate balance sheet items, review financial forecasts and budgets, assess financial impact and review business cases for new initiatives, review journal entries for month-end closing, and evaluate accounting processes and entries for new business processes / products
Provide advisory to the business on accounting standards and policy requirements to ensure compliance, e-Invoicing, and direct and indirect tax matters including SST/WHT
Develop and enhance Finance Business Partner processes and mechanisms to meet user requirements and industry standards
Ensure and enforce a robust supervisory program and system of internal controls
Provide coaching, motivation, support, and training to team members to meet business objectives
Foster collaboration and maintain close working relationships with senior management across the organization
What we're looking for
Strong financial leadership experience, ideally in a banking or corporate finance environment
In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, tax regulations, and internal controls
Proven ability to partner with business leaders and contribute to strategic initiatives
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
Demonstrated capability to lead and develop a high-performing team
