Purpose:
Accountabilities:
- Lead preparation and review of SEC filings (10‑Q, 10‑K) and US GAAP financial statements
- Perform complex technical accounting analyses and support financial statement preparation
- Manage consolidations, including VIEs, intercompany eliminations, and cash flow statements
- Research and apply US GAAP and SEC disclosure guidance; implement new accounting standards
- Analyze and resolve financial variances using detailed accounting assessments
- Partner cross‑functionally and with parent company teams to meet reporting deadlines
- Prepare financial statement analytics and ensure disclosure checklist compliance
- Support external audits and regulatory reviews through workpaper preparation and analysis
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in technical accounting, SEC reporting, or public accounting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements; ability to analyze complex transactions and accounting treatment
- Experience in public accounting or SEC reporting within the insurance industry preferred
- Strong analytical and research skills with ability to clearly communicate conclusions
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Workiva (Wdesk) preferred
- Familiarity with Oracle, Essbase, and Hyperion a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; CPA and/or FLMI designation preferred or in progress
$100,885.60 - $151,328.40 USD Annual
Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
