SDET Engineer

Job Summary

As a SDET Engineer, you'll be working alongside Engineers, understanding the features, business case and value being created, and based off that assessment and interaction on a daily basis on that team, producing test strategies, test cases and assuring the quality of the software being delivered, following defined practices and procedures defined from the Quality Group. You'll have a important role in planning and carrying out performance tests.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Create custom tools and frameworks to support test automation, using modern development and test automation frameworks as needed;
• Feel comfortable architecting strategic solutions for overall testing efforts;
• Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement;
• Being ablet to clearly articulate ideais and express technical recomendations;
• Feel comfortable architecting strategic solutions for overall testing efforts;
• Being able to Plan, Create and maintain Performance tests on the api level;
• Following guidelines set from the quality group, ensuring that all steps in quality are being followed.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a software developer with Python;
• Proven experience as a software developer with Pytest, including parametized tests;
• Proven experience with Selenium being able to deverive xpaths relative to other xpaths;
• Experience with testing (manual or automation);
• Ability to work as part of a Scrum team;
• Demonstrated experience in developing Python scripts for testing, using IDEs such as PyCharm or IDLE;
• Demonstrated ability to use JSON;
• Experience with automation testing of UI features using Selenium Webdriver;
• Good knowledge and experience in version control tools like Git;
• Experience in automating tests in CI/CD;
• Experience in RESTful API testing using Postman or Katalon or JMeter;
• Proficient in SQL queries and hands-on exposure to various databases.

Highly Desirable Skills

• Experience in Project Management tools like Jira, Rally, ServiceNow;
• Knowledge/Exposure to AWS tools like: Lambdas, DynamoDB, Step Functions, S3;
• Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools (e.x., SIPp, JMeter, Gatling, k6);
• Experience with testing and delivering SaaS products;
• Able to connect best practices with the daily activities.
