SDE Expert – CI/CD, Build
Automation and Telecom Software Integration
Role Summary: We are looking for a senior SDE Expert who can own
and improve the end-to-end build, CI/CD, release, integration, and validation
framework for telecom software programs . The candidate should be hands-on in
build automation, build-environment debugging, dependency management, SCM,
Jenkins pipelines, Yocto/Meson-based builds, GDF/load generation,
vulnerability/static analysis automation, and multi-component telecom software
integration across Platform, OAM, Stack, L1/L2/L3 and application layers.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and improve CI/CD pipeline automation, nightly
builds, official load generation and regular software build procedures
across multiple releases.
- Drive build automation activities independently and
coordinate with Platform, OAM, Stack, L1/L2/L3, application and R&D
teams to unblock submissions and integration issues.
- Troubleshoot build-environment issues including missing
files, missing dependencies, container issues, compiler/toolchain
mismatch, repository issues and load/repackaging failures.
- Develop and maintain scripts to introduce software
components into automated builds, reporting flows, pre-commit validation
and release readiness checks.
- Create and maintain pre-commit, sanity, regression and
UT validation automation using Python, Shell, Groovy or other relevant
scripting languages.
- Manage SCM, branching strategy, development/integration
branches, release branches, code propagation and build workspace practices
to reduce locking/unlocking and submission delays.
- Support migration of source code and build assets from
legacy repositories to central Git/Gerrit/GitLab, including versioning of
Jenkinsfiles, Dockerfiles, manifests, recipes and automation scripts.
- Integrate build artifacts with JFrog Artifactory,
container registries and product build workspaces, ensuring repeatable and
traceable artifact management.
- Work with Yocto, Buildroot, Meson and meta-build/GDF
flows to support component builds, platform integration, signed loads and
target deployment.
- Automate and operationalize security/static-analysis
flows such as Coverity, MDE/JFrog Vision/Netrise style scanning, report
generation and issue follow-up.
- Support deployment and validation of generated loads on
target boards, including GDF installation, sanity validation, target
bring-up and coordination with test teams.
- Use AI-assisted development and DevOps tools such as
Cursor, Copilot or equivalent tools to accelerate migration, build-script
refactoring, Dockerfile changes, Jenkins pipeline creation and issue
analysis.
Required Skills and
Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer
Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, preferably in the
telecom domain.
- 5–10 years of experience in Build and Release
Engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, SCM, software integration or telecom software
build automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins pipeline
development, nightly builds, build dashboards, automated reporting and
failure triage.
- Strong working knowledge of Git, Gerrit, GitLab,
Subversion, branching strategies, integration branches, release branches
and code propagation workflows.
- Experience with Yocto, Buildroot, Meson, Make/CMake,
Maven/Ant, meta-build flows, GDF/load generation, signed builds and
embedded Linux build environments.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, containerized build
environments, VM/NESC-like infrastructure, artifact repositories, JFrog
Artifactory and dependency/package management.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python,
Shell and Groovy; C/C++ knowledge is preferred for build-debug and
compilation-error analysis.
- Ability to debug complex build failures caused by
missing files, missing libraries, incorrect container content, toolchain
mismatch, compiler warnings/errors, repository inconsistencies and
environment drift.
- Experience with static analysis, vulnerability scanning
and quality automation tools such as Coverity, MDE, JFrog Vision,
SARIF/JSON reporting or equivalent tools.
- Understanding telecom software integration across
Platform, OAM/O1, Stack, L1/L2/L3, application, BSP, bootloader, firmware,
transport, IPsec and security components.
- Ability to work with development, test, platform,
vendor and release teams to drive RCA, unblock submissions, ensure release
readiness and reduce dependency on key individuals.
- Good documentation and communication skills to maintain
build procedures, onboarding guides, issue trackers, RCA summaries and
operational runbooks.
Technical Toolset
- Version Control and SCM: Git,
Gerrit, GitLab, Subversion (SVN), repository migration, branching and
release management
- CI/CD and Automation: Jenkins, Hudson,
scripted and declarative pipelines, nightly builds, pre-commit checks,
automated reporting
- Build Systems: Yocto, Buildroot, Meson,
Make/CMake, Maven, Ant, meta-build and GDF/load generation flows
- Containers and Infrastructure: Docker, containerized build environments, VM/NESC-style environments,

- Artifact and Dependency Management: JFrog
Artifactory, Docker registries, manifest files, recipes,
package/dependency tracking and release artifact management
- Scripting: Python, Shell, Groovy; C/C++
debugging knowledge preferred
- Security and Quality Automation: Coverity, MDE/JFrog Vision/Netrise-style scanning, SARIF/JSON reporting,
vulnerability scan automation
- Telecom Build and Integration: AIODB/AIOSC-style GDF, Platform, OAM/O1, Stack, BSP, bootloader, IPsec,

images, GDF contents and release-ready binaries through Artifactory and
disciplined artifact management.
- Enable automated vulnerability/static-analysis
reporting and follow-up for release readiness.
- Support reliable OD/ID variant builds,
platform/OAM/Stack integration, target deployment and sanity validation
before official release submission.
