As a Scrum Master within our CIS‑HU business unit, you will enable a high‑performing cross‑functional team to deliver meaningful value consistently and predictably. Your work directly influences how effectively our teams collaborate, solve problems, and deliver high‑quality software used by energy and utilities organisations globally.
This role is essential in ensuring teams follow Agile delivery practices, maintain transparent workflows, and continuously improve. By coaching team members, removing impediments, and partnering closely with the Product Owner, you will help shape both delivery outcomes and team culture. Your impact will extend across the squad and enabling effective delivery, driving improvement, and supporting our mission to deliver high‑quality software to customers who rely on our systems to deliver essential services every day.
What You’ll Do
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Support the team in defining Sprint commitments, managing the Sprint backlog, and keeping delivery on track.
Partner with the Product Owner to ensure a well‑refined and prioritised product backlog.
Remove blockers, escalate risks, and support cross‑team dependency management.
Promote Agile principles, psychological safety, transparency, and continuous improvement within the squad.
Enable delivery tracking and transparency using Jira and agreed SDLC processes.
Use Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, predictability) to support delivery insights and improvements.
Foster effective communication between team members, stakeholders, and the Product Owner.
What You Bring
Strong facilitation, coordination, and organisational skills that support effective Agile delivery.
Confidence working with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to maintain alignment.
A solid understanding of Agile and Scrum practices and the ability to guide teams in day‑to‑day application.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to encourage participation and clarity across teams.
Strong conflict‑resolution and problem‑solving abilities, promoting team cohesion.
A proactive mindset — able to identify risks early, resolve impediments, and ensure delivery continuity.
Comfort using data and metrics to support decision‑making and team improvement.
Preferred skills
Experience supporting distributed or global teams.
Familiarity with additional Agile frameworks such as Kanban, SAFe, or Lean‑Agile.
Experience with Agile coaching or mentoring.
Experience reporting delivery metrics for continuous improvement.
Knowledge of SDLC standards, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, or similar tools.
Experience or interest in the energy and utilities sector (e.g., MSATS, MDMS, CRM systems).
