SciPlay | Senior Network Engineer (On-Prem Infrastructure)

On behalf of SciPlay, SD Solutions is looking for a talented Senior Network Engineer (On-Prem Infrastructure)

Our current on-prem infrastructure includes a traditional LAMP stack, Couchbase, VMware, F5, Pure Storage SAN solutions, and Grafana-based observability. The right candidate will be strong in classic infrastructure engineering and systems administration, while also bringing a modernization mindset as we continue moving toward containers, Kubernetes, and an internal developer platform.

Responsibilities:

• Design, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure (routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, DNS, VPNs, load balancing, etc.)
• Manage and troubleshoot F5 BIG-IP load balancers
• Administer the VMware virtualization environment and Pure Storage SAN
• Support Linux-based production systems and game servers
• Lead troubleshooting efforts across network, storage, virtualization, and application layers
• Monitor system health, performance, and capacity; build alerts and runbooks
• Implement network security, hardening, patching, backup, and disaster recovery practices
• Document network architecture and operational procedures
• Participate in on-call support for critical production issues

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in network engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure roles
• Deep hands-on expertise with TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPNs, firewalls, and SSL/TLS
• Strong experience with F5 BIG-IP load balancers (highly preferred)
• Solid Linux server administration in production environments
• Experience with VMware virtualization and enterprise storage solutions
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent English communication skills (critical — team has 5 different native languages)

Advantages:

• Cloud experience (AWS or hybrid cloud)
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience in gaming / high-load environments
