Working as part of a cross functional team, you lead and deliver the RDQ activities required to complete new product development, portfolio maintenance and/or productivity projects with an emphasis on meeting the desired consumer experience. You will drive consumer-led product development from concept through commercialization, translating strategic business objectives and consumer insights into commercially viable solutions.
What you need to know about this position:
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Project Leadership - Work independently to plan, lead, and coordinate technical projects in line with R&D, marketing, and manufacturing requirements
- Process Design & Deployment - Lead RDQ activities required to complete process design and deployment for innovation, growth, and cost optimization projects across multiple geographies, with emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience
- Consumer-Led Specifications - Create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications
- Stakeholder Management - Influence decisions based on conclusions made from analysis and interpretation of results
- Technical Networks - Establish internal and external technical networks and interact independently with relevant leaders and stakeholders
- Pilot & Factory Trials - Plan, lead, and coordinate pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with GMP and HACCP requirements
- Communication - Effectively communicate project status and risks to cross-functional teams
- I2M Process - Strong understanding of Idea to Market (I2M or similar) process and proven ability to drive projects from concept through commercialization in collaboration with cross-functional partner
What extra ingredients you will bring:
- Food science, science, or engineering ideally in a fast-moving consumer goods market
- Technical Expertise: Strong foundation in food science, consumer-focused mindset, curiosity, and problem-solving skills
- Compliance: Adherence to technical policies and procedures
- Skills: Ability to interpret results, report and present findings, and make recommendations that shape decision-making within project teams, prioritizing, agility and managing multiple priorities, attention to details, organized and can work independently, good knowledge and understanding on MS Office Tools
Education / Certifications:
- Science and Engineering background >8 years' experience
Job specific requirements:
- Minimum 5-8 years lab work experience preferably within the food industry- confectionery and powdered beverages, manage complex projects by influencing multi-functional teams will be an advantage.
