The Junior Scientist role is based in Tlalnepantla, Mexico (on site role). This role supports advanced fragrance analysis by ensuring accurate sample preparation, labelling, and data integrity. You will work closely with senior scientists to enable high-quality analytical workflows and contribute to the generation of reliable data for fragrance innovation


Where You’ll Make a Difference

  • Ensure accurate labelling, tracking, and documentation of all samples to maintain data integrity
  • Prepare and process fragrance samples from consumer products and raw materials using standardized protocols
  • Assist in setting up and operating GC/MS instruments and other analytical equipment under supervision
  • Support high-throughput workflows by managing sample queues and robotic systems for automated analysis
  • Record and organize analytical data in compliance with established procedures
  • Perform basic data checks to ensure completeness and accuracy before submission to senior scientists
  • Work closely with senior scientists to align on priorities and timelines
  • Maintain clear communication regarding sample status and any issues encountered
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or closely related scientific field
  • Minimum 3 years in Analytical Chemistry within fragrance, consumer goods, biotech, pharma, or related industries
  • Familiarity with sample preparation techniques and basic analytical instrumentation
  • Understanding of lab safety and good documentation practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions precisely

  • Strong knowledge in analytical chemistry (Master's), ideally gained in the fragrance industry
  • Hands-on experience with GC/MS operation and troubleshooting
  • Good knowledge of fragrance composition, essential oils, aroma chemicals, and specialty bases
