We are looking for a passionate and proficient scientist with expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to join our research center in Baden/Switzerland. How you’ll make an impact

You are creative: Conduct high-quality industrial research in the area of artificial intelligence for sustainable power grids, green energy and related fields

You are visionary: Develop innovative approaches to design and run the power grid, turn them into prototypes, and increase the technology readiness level towards productization

You take initiative: Collaborate with a global and inter-disciplinary team of researchers and engineers in Hitachi Energy Research and Business Units to identify and solve real-world problems and realize opportunities for further improvements

You collaborate: Build relationships within the company and actively share your knowledge and expertise. Interact with local and global external partners including universities and vendors

You communicate: Disseminate your results in technical reports, patent applications, and scientific publications
Your background

PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field

Proven expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with a solid understanding of algorithms, frameworks, and extensive experience in Python and relevant software tools

Strong ability and keen interest in applying AI/ML to real-world industrial applications, addressing various aspects of power grids and sustainable energy, from systems to individual components

Excellent communication skills, team player attitude, initiative, and creativity

Fluency in English, both written and spoken
