Scheduler 

Are you interested in scheduling? This could be your opportunity to excel as a Scheduler, playing a vital role in supporting SOCOTEC’s continued success.

As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We’re looking for a dedicated Scheduler to join our Environment and Safety division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Scheduler to join our Environment & Safety team. In this role, you’ll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. 

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

  • To coordinate and optimise the scheduling of field-based consultants across asbestos surveying and air monitoring operations.
  • To ensure, where possible, the right resource is deployed to the right job at the right time with good communication maintained with key stakeholders in all scenarios.
  • This business-critical role must maximise efficiency, utilisation, and commercial performance in line with commercial goals while supporting SOCOTEC's commitment to quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • The role requires a strong understanding of competencies, operational requirements, and financial impact, alongside the ability to make effective real-time decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

To be a successful Scheduler, you should be able to demonstrate:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Mathematics, English, and a science-based subject
  • Strong numerical and analytical capability
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of business drivers
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions
  • Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
