The program encompasses integrating dozens of mission critical financial applications to a modern SAP application operating in a FedRamp Certified cloud, while reengineering business process, with the proper internal controls and educating the impacted users and organizations on the future digital platform.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

The Program Manager will be leading teams of up to 50 for Product Management Support for Business Process Re-engineering, Internal Controls, Organizational Change, and Data Management for a Federal client. The successful candidate for the Program Manager is to champion planning, coordination, and communication of the multidisciplinary/cross-functional team responsible for delivering a functional and technical solutions, products and/or services as directed by the Integrated Product Team Lead. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in managing large-scale IT programs and be an excellent practitioner of program/project management techniques, including Essential SAFe for performance management, backlog management, integrated master schedules, integration of products and solutions, and financial management.

 

  • Lead implementation of multiple, concurrent, cross-functional strategic IT programs and business process projects
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of projects including developing charters and work plans, structuring and mobilizing project teams, driving team accountabilities, managing stakeholder relationships, resolving barriers to successful project implementation, driving effective decision making and delivering status updates/recommendations to senior management
  • Direct the development of project deliverables through application of business process design/improvement expertise
  • Strategize with and advise project sponsor/business lead regarding project direction and decisions. Effectively define the issue, offer recommendations and lead the team to agreed-upon actions
  • Develops overall product backlog and participates in PI Planning and Inspect and Adapt sessions that accurately reflect the scope of the work holistically and by initiative to ensure visibility and alignment to organization priorities and team capacity allocation
  • Appropriately works with cross functional partners to align resources against project needs and/or work collaboratively to identify and address gaps
  • Sets clear expectations with the cross functional team for their respective role in delivering the defined project(s) on time and budget; ensuring organizational transparency, accountability and risk mitigation
  • Responsible for ensuring quality control and legal input is obtained during appropriate stage gate
  • Develop and deliver effective presentations to senior management to communicate project updates and support effective decision making
  • Mobilize teams, provide tools and examples, develop work plans, coach on project management skills, provide industry expertise, facilitate workshops
  • Lead and Champion the organizational understanding of and commitment to project management. Influence others through sharing of expert project management skills and building a project management excellence culture where people excel at leading and participating in projects
  • Leverage program lifecycle management methods, tools and techniques to constantly monitor and report on progress of project/program
  • Develop and present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to maintain overall project/program schedule


RequirementsMinimum Qualifications/Experience: 
  • Minimum 7+ years hands-on project management experience in the design and implementation of cross-functional strategic ERP projects and business process initiatives
  • A verifiable history of involvement in a leadership role for large scale, complex SAP or ERP projects over their full lifecycle
  • Experience with designing, implementing and managing a program management office
  • Proven experience in leading, influencing and driving change management
  • Strong management skills with proven ability to drive projects to successful completion-on time and within budget are required
  • Experience in managing multiple strategic IT initiatives through their complete lifecycle
  • Experience in working directly with and influencing senior management
  • Hands-on experience developing and applying project management tools and templates
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong influencing skills with proven ability to get things done without formal authority; ability to build and maintain support and buy-in at all levels within the business
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

 

Minimum Education: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Required

Skills Required
