Impact
The successful candidate will work as a member of the internal SAP support team within IT. This position will assist customers with concerns and challenges and recommend solutions to address issues they may have.
The Job
- Serves as the first point of contact with the user community and provides service delivery within the functional areas of SAP ECC 6.0 (SD/LE, FICO, MM/PP) application support, and operations.
- Works independently and with peers to provide the resolution for critical and urgent issues relating to the functional area(s) of SAP to which they are assigned.
- Works closely with SAP ABAP developers to identify reported system issues.
- Provides 1st and 2nd level SAP support for the local IT team.
- Participate in after-hours support rotation for outage priority issues.
- Provide solutions or communicate and route issues to other appropriate IT groups.
- Confer with internal staff and organizational units to analyze current operational procedures and processes, identify problems and paths to a solution.
- Promote effective and collaborative communication with internal team members and business partners.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships at the operational level for the assigned workstream.
- Ensure major incident communication to management and internal customers.
- Communicate status of initiatives to middle and senior level management.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Qualification - B.Tech/B.E./ M.Tech or MCA with good understanding of business processes
The role requires a talented self-directed individual with a strong work ethic and the following skills:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an SAP functional analyst.
- Expert skills in at least one SAP functional areas along with a strong understanding of the integration points between modules.
- Some experience in other SAP Integrated 3rd Party systems will be helpful.
- This role requires close coordination with multiple internal teams.
- Able to grasp issues and problems quickly and anticipate potential future requirements. Capable of offering alternate viable solutions.
- Strong business process experience and industry knowledge across many areas to provide context to business requirements.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships within the assigned workstream.
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written, including ability to conduct formal and informal presentations and workshops to all levels of management.
- Deep knowledge of configuration, development, multi-tiered architecture, cross-functional integration.
- Ability to use influence, persuasion, and mediation to resolve issues and drive consensus.
Optional Skills
- SAP S/4 HANA implementation
- Exposure to other ERP solutions i.e. MS Dynamics a plus
