You will work closely with internal team members, including project managers, architects and consultants. While you often won’t interact with client stakeholders directly, you will work with the Consultant internally who acts as the Voice of the Customer. You possess a passion for problem-solving, visual storytelling, and analysis to help clients succeed. You serve as the Hands on Keyboard Expert for the delivery of Analytics projects.

- Primary Responsibilities
- Ask clarifying questions and call out dependencies to deeply understand business and technical requirement needed to implement Analytics solutions
- Act as the primary driver in the execution of all project implementation phases including development, data validation and quality assurance testing, documentation, feedback incorporation and deployment.
- Develop data models that perform well under large data volumes as-well as enable scalability for future Analytics use-cases
- Collaborate with data team members on activities that might require development in a data workload (ex. Data warehousing, Python transformation, etc.)
- Prepare data using declarative tools such as Tableau Prep to enable performant, consistent and scalable Analytics
- Create business process flows, data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, visualization wireframes, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with team members to ensure deliverables meet requirements; create and maintain documentation as required
- Execute testing against user stories and test plans against all phases of an engagement, including test scenario execution, testing results documentation and defect tracking and resolution
- Create and contribute to project documentation as required
- Own the configuration and declarative build tasks within the Analytic platform (ex. Tableau, CRM Analytics and Einstein Discovery)
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment through internal knowledge sharing and skill development
- Identify dependencies and process improvements to maximize the opportunity to deliver customer delight with deliverables
- Continuously expand learning areas, whether on new Analytic platforms or new technologies such as Python, Snowflake or otherwise.
What you are not responsible to do:
- Does not oversee design functions but may participate in design sessions
- Does not create, modify and test coding that allow the computer applications to operate
- Does not program, develop programs or oversee computer programming
- Does not develop, create or modify general applications software or specialized utility programs
- Does not develop software solutions
- Does not coordinate, lead & facilitate client Discovery & refinement sessions to generate & clarify requirements (co-lead w/ Analytics Architect)
- Does not conduct training & functional knowledge transfer activities
- Does not support, prep or co-leads sprint demos to showcase build activities to the client and facilitate feedback discussions as the functionality relates to customer requirements
- Does not build, organizes, grooms or maintains the project backlog, ensuring the backlog is prioritized and aligned to project and team objectives
- Does not act on behalf of the customer and end users to define requirements and ensure the solution and end results meet their needs. The consultant serves as the customer advocate ensuring the user stories align with their specifications including any edge cases that might be discovered.
- Does not identify business KPIs & measuring ROI for customers
- Does not translate customer requirements, both functional and technical, into well-organized, documented user stories for team development, including acceptance criteria and design considerations
- Does not collaborate with customers to define project related Critical Success Factors (CSFs) & ROI measurements to articulate value related to client business goals. Capture baseline metrics, monitor progress and provide updates to customers.
- Does not document and manage user stories, requirements (RTM/BRD), process flows and UACs
- Required Qualifications
- Minimum Two (2) years of experience in real world client projects as the role of a business analyst or developer.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Analytic development environment (Tableau preferred)
- Minimum 1 years Experience with Agile project methodology as the role of individual contributor. Including basics of backlog management, user story estimation, acceptance criteria and sprint planning
- Tableau Certified Desktop or Data Analyst, SnowPro Certifications or other related certifications
- Work experience with a professional consulting organization a plus; exposure to business analysis and related tasks
- Working understanding of all phases of the application development life cycle and understand SDLC/ Waterfall and Agile concepts
- Practical and applied knowledge of software development best practices such as requirement tracking/documentation and feedback review cycles
- Familiarity with cloud based, enterprise level packaged applications
- Able to work US Eastern Standard Time Hours (9 - 5PM EST)
- Design and develop industry leading visualizations for clients
- Design and implement comprehensive data models based on a variety of data sources and models
- Front end development experience (HTML, CSS, JS, etc.) is highly beneficial
