Role Overview: How will this role have an impact?
This individual will identify, foster, and execute M&A and investments that advance the mission and strategy of Signify Health. The role will require sourcing opportunities and driving deal processes from evaluation to close, which will involve due diligence, financial modeling, valuation analysis, and playing a critical role in deal structuring and negotiation. The ideal candidate will have strong business and industry acumen to drive strategic discussions with prospective target companies to identify synergies, integration, and value creation opportunities. Effective communication and close collaboration with other business stakeholders to quarterback through a deal process will also be key. This role will report to the SVP of Strategic Initiatives.
Core Responsibilities: What will you do?
- Develop inorganic strategies for Signify to accelerate growth via M&A and investments
- Manage deal pipeline, from sourcing through execution of corporate development transactions
- Collaborate with other business units and stakeholders on build-buy-partner strategies
- Conduct deal execution activities, including due diligence, financial modeling and valuation analyses, as well as structuring and negotiation of deal terms and agreements
- Quarterback deal processes coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders and external parties
- Perform direct market and company research, engaging with various participants in the healthcare ecosystem
- Develop and present deal materials, including company or transaction briefings, management materials, and Board materials
We are looking for someone with:
- BA or BS required / Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
- 8 – 10+ years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development role
- Proven experience structuring, negotiating, and executing M&A and investments
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and foster company relationships externally and internally
- Strategic mindset with deep solutioning and problem-solving capabilities
- Deep experience with financial modeling and valuation analyses
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects or pipeline opportunities simultaneously, meeting key deliverable deadlines and process milestones while managing various stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to construct strategic rationale backed by operational, financial, or synergy analyses
- Deep understanding of deal terms and ability to structure and negotiate terms
- Sharp industry acumen, demonstrating and continuing to develop expertise and knowledge in the healthcare technology and services space
- Willingness to develop strong relationships with industry stakeholders
- Experience managing individuals
- Robust communication skills and executive presence, able to correspond effectively and present information succinctly to executive stakeholders
