Your Role and Responsibilities
The Technology Partner Seller (TPS) Ecosystem Role Champion is responsible for the deployment and execution of IBM's new TPS sales role. This sales role is responsible for the following:

  • Deliver partner revenue objective through a combination of all sales motions
  • Ensure growth expectations are met with each partner, concentrating sales efforts on IBM's growth offerings, expanding partner's participation across new sub-brands
  • Own the holistic relationship with assigned partners, building deep understanding of strategic goals and becoming a deeply trusted advisor
  • Identify opportunities for partners to engage with IBM technology and manage progression of leads through closure
  • Manage partner's quarterly and longer-term strategy (e.g., detailed account planning, go-to-market approach, and growth strategy)
  • Orchestrate engagement from other IBM resources to help drive the revenue result and increase visibility of partner within Ecosystem team

The TPS Ecosystem Role Champion will be the conduit between WW brand and Geography sales organizations to ensure success by doing the following:
Role Execution: create enablement, processes, metrics and measures to drive consistent and measurable execution inclusive of all IBM Brands and Geography requirements

  • Partner planning (end to end execution)
  • Sales metrics for Partners by role (revenue, roadmap, pipeline)
  • Engagement metrics (calls per week, opps by role, oi by role)
  • Demand Generation execution (lead pass, partner opportunity identification, etc.)
  • Skills & Competency requirements (co-create with Brands)

Role Community & Communication: share best practices, communicate IBM Brand offering announcements and work as a single point of community for IBM Brand organizations

  • Slack Channels & Ask Me Anything leader and organizer
  • Monthly Role Community Calls and Rallies
  • Brand announcement execution a(owners of the Role distribution lists, Slack Channel, etc.)

Role Evolution: gather requirements and influence ongoing course corrections and refinements to align roles to ever changing needs of IBM

  • Skills & Competency requirements (co-create with Brands)
  • Sales Plans creation
  • Internalize Partner Net Promoter Score (NPS)
  • IBM - Partner executive (business/technical) relationship mapping & refreshing


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 3+ years of cumulative experience in at least two of these IBM roles: direct sales, channel ecosystem sales or digital sales in a client-facing role
  • 2+ years of experience in territory planning, managing pipeline from deal identification to deal wins, lead passing, enablement or demand generation
  • Solid track record in relationship and business management, developing and maximizing new business strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, as well as influencing skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines, while maintaining focus despite conflicting demands
  • Possess strong commitment to team environment dynamics with the ability to contribute expertise and work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively and display commitment and work ethic across different countries and cultures


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Multi-year record of success in meeting or exceeding quota in sales
  • Success managing complex projects involving business partners, developing campaigns, strategies, and solutions that have generated revenue growth
  • Experience developing and implementing innovative strategies as project manager
  • 1+ year in a technical role, demonstrating the ability to grasp and communicate product use in client environments
