This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except for the State of Colorado, Alaska, North Dakota, or South Dakota.

Overview:

Strategic Relationship Manager II partners with existing Distribution Partners to develop and grow new business opportunities by introducing innovative and/or underutilized capabilities and distribution channels. They also ensure quality service to assigned Distribution Partners by providing ongoing support, analyzing account and market trends, and identifying additional revenue opportunities. Collaborating closely with teams throughout Blackhawk Network, Strategic Relationship Manager II handles day-to-day client requests as needed.

This is a remote based role, preferably in commuting distance to one of our local offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with portfolio of Distribution Partners, continually adding value and services to their existing accounts.
  • Develop and maintain the multi-year strategic account plan for each assigned Distribution Partner. Revise the account strategy and plan to ensure they fit the continuously changing business needs and priorities.
  • Influence and lead strategic planning efforts with a broader BHN cross functional team around execution of the strategy and plan activities delivering results and meeting Distribution Partner expectations.
  • Drive revenue growth and meet profit goals for Distribution Partners in portfolio. Increase AOR by obtaining buy-in of new enterprise services and distribution to grow sales.
  • Meet budget, quality, and schedule goals for all projects you are managing.
  • Analyze trends and performance data, providing guidance based on data driven conclusions.
  • Guide, advise, and report on marketing and promotion activities across the BHN Partner Network.
  • Coordinate internal BHN teams to manage needed resources in support of goals.
  • Articulate both BHN and Distribution Partner account value propositions to senior level management within both BHN and the Distribution Partner account.
  • Create a quarterly business review cadence to track our progress on aligned focus areas/work streams and other interactions.
  • Facilitate regular progress meetings with key Distribution Partner stakeholders and BHN leadership to validate our progress and plans.
  • Own escalation issues for the Distribution Partner account and drives those escalations to closure while creating a high level of customer satisfaction and a win-win environment for the BHN resources involved in the day-to-day operation of the Distribution Partner Account.



Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in Business, Marketing, or other relevant degree program and/or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree required
  • 2-5 years of sales experience in the Retail, Financial, Professional Services Management, and/or B2B environments
  • Analysis and presentation of sales and performance data
  • Experience with consumer-facing, web-based products and services
  • Digital marketing and/or eCommerce experience
  • Effective communicator; able to use good judgment in communications with Distribution Partners and across multiple departments: Distribution, Technology, Finance, Customer Service, Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Legal and Fraud/Risk.
  • Sales acumen with the ability to influence Distribution Partners to invest in promotions, marketing, and new products/services
  • Comfortable presentations and negotiations
  • Able to quarterback and manage multiple tasks, projects, and Distribution Partners in parallel.
  • Ability to grasp complexity of BHN platforms: the consumer-facing, client-facing, and CashStar-facing portals and how they interface with external, client, and third-party systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite tools; PowerPoint, Excel, CRM, Power BI, Office 365, etc.
