Position Summary

As a Key Account Executive for the commercial organization at Dexcom, you will work to represent Dexcom's portfolio and strategic alignment with targeted IDNs and health systems, enabling the broader sales organization to deliver and support solutions that best serve Dexcom's patients, partners, and healthcare professionals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for identifying the needs of IDN/health systems and their key stakeholders to align Dexcom products and solutions and provide value-add solutions
  • Lead efforts to optimize access for patients who benefit from CGM therapy through advocacy, education, and collaboration in partnership with Dexcom cross functional teams and customer stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Dexcom medical science and clinical teams to provide relevant evidence and trends to support health system goals and performance measures
  • Identify trends and needs of health systems across digital and population health initiatives to advance and align Dexcom's solutions and value proposition
  • Through personal business development activities and coordination with other sales channels within Dexcom, identify opportunities to engage organizations by assisting with their identified gaps in healthcare delivery and/or strategic goals and initiatives
  • Comply with all Company policies as well as other Company policies which may be implemented from time to time.
  • This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned


Functional Description

Identify trends and needs of health systems across digital and population health initiatives to advance and align Company's solutions and value proposition. Identify opportunities to engage organizations by assisting with their identified gaps in healthcare delivery and/or strategic goals and initiatives.

  • Viewed as expert in the field within the Function.

  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation.
  • Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
  • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.


Judgement

  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other colleagues.


Field Sales

  • Has a record of success in sales, viewed as an expert in the field.
  • Distinguished by additional specialized knowledge in breadth or depth.
  • Normally assigned to large, complex, high visibility, strategic or tactically important accounts or cross-functional projects.
  • Impact typically beyond territory and/or district.


Experience and Education

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience.
  • At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience.
  • Extensive experience in Diabetes disease state and related interventions
  • Advanced IDN/Health System experience and operational understanding
  • High preference for candidates with well established IDN/Health System relationships

Travel Required:

  • 25 to 50%


Workplace Type

  • The Workplace Type for this role is Remote. Based on the nature of your position you will need to visit a Dexcom site no more than once per quarter and no more than 10 business days per visit (4 trips/40 days max per year). Travel and expenses will be reimbursed for this travel if you live outside of commuting distance (typically 75 miles/120km) of your assigned Dexcom site.
