About the job
The Red Hat Business Unit is looking for a Specialist Solution Architect to join us. In this role, you will work closely with sales to understand customer's business challenges, map the appropriate technology to meet those needs, and support sales with training on the technology.
What you will do

  • Meet with customers to discuss technical configurations and advise customers on recommended configurations and implementation
  • Deliver technical customer presentations catered to customer's technology needs and requirements by providing guidance to customers on software and system needs and requirements
  • Gather customer software requirements for technical demonstrations and deliver customized technical demonstrations
  • Provide continuous training on competitive and relevant technology for customers, and stay up to date on the latest software trends and emerging technology
  • Ensure revenue quota, deployment, and service objectives are met by collaborating with sales specialists to achieve sales and revenue goals, and evaluating technical requirements of new sales opportunities
  • Participate in internal meetings with Engineering and Product Management teams to provide information, presentations, demos, or and feedback for Red Hat services and latest releases and functionalities


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering, or related field and 1+ year(s) of experience in the job offered or related role, or no degree and 3+ years of experience in the job offered or related role
  • 1+ year(s) of experience with: agile or DevOps frameworks; containers and container management tools; VMware vSphere, Xen, KVM, Docker, IBM PowerVM, or Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization infrastructure; designing, deploying, and operating virtualization infrastructure hardware and software; Containers and microservices cloud computing; and developing technical presentations and delivering them to a live audience
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time; travel expenses covered by Red Hat, Inc.
