About the job
The Red Hat Technology Partner Program team is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join us. In this role, you will help us build and maintain a solid ecosystem of independent software vendors (ISVs) in the security market. You should be an experienced technical business development professional who facilitates and maintains a proactive, targeted ecosystem development with priority partners within the security ecosystem. You'll also work closely with other teams and functions across the organization. As a Senior Business Development Manager, you'll become part of the Technology Partner Program team that offers partners the expertise, tools, and certification offerings needed to successfully participate in the commercial ecosystem.
Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Evangelize Red Hat's strategic viewpoint for the security ecosystem to partners and customers
  • Manage the proactive recruiting, onboarding, support, and promotion of assigned priority technology partners
  • Participate in defining the requirements and roadmaps of partner offerings for certification and joint go-to-market strategies
  • Participate in defining marketing positioning, promotion, and business development plans with priority partners for their certified offerings
  • Lead the development and continuous updating of Red Hat's view of assigned market segments, most relevant partner offerings, and of the competitive analysis and its importance to Red Hat
  • Manage the priority and coverage process with all of the involved Red Hat's teams for the security ecosystem
  • Oversee the cross-functional collaboration on proactive, high-touch partner recruitment, onboarding, support, and promotion
  • Enable and coach virtual teams guiding ecosystem development in the assigned market segments
  • Track and report partner engagement and progress of assigned market segments


What you will bring

  • 5+ years of experience evangelizing leading technology to key partners and customers
  • Shared viewpoint and existing relationships with security software ecosystem and technology leaders
  • Solid knowledge of security use cases, including DevSecOps, container security scanning, and other leading security concepts
  • Conceptual knowledge of modern cloud technologies like containers and Kubernetes
  • Experience working with ISVs and value-added partner types
  • Ability to work across multiple teams within Red Hat
  • Creative and curious with a professional attitude
  • Bachelor's degree
