Sales Operations acts as an extension of sales leadership. As part of Okta’s GTM Strategy & Operations team, we protect the investment in Okta’s rapidly growing Sales organization by ensuring Sales has the insight, tools, and processes to run effectively and efficiently. This specific role is part of our Field Operations team which is responsible for supporting growth and efficiency in the AMER sales teams.

As an Analyst in Sales Strategy and Operations, you’ll partner closely with the Field Sales Operations Managers to streamline our processes that serve the business. To ensure adoption and actionability, you’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with Field Leadership on day to day operations to ensure successful growth. You’ll also collaborate with other GTM Strategy & Operations colleagues to implement solutions including Sales Planning & Analytics, Sales Enablement, and Business Technology.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure territory management excellence for an ever growing and shifting sales organization, including territory assignment, migration of the associated opportunities with appropriate splits or holds, and process improvements in our sales systems.
  • Support human capital management projects around xDR and Sales promotion, management organization structures, and how they’re reflected in our systems.
  • Standardize, distribute, and expand our sales facing reporting and KPIs. This includes (but is not limited to): weekly/monthly/quarterly performance reports, pipeline reviews, top of funnel activity, and sales programs to improve execution.
  • Ensure operational excellence of our account, opportunity, and user objects in Salesforce through regular audits. Recommend and implement Systems solutions to improve our processes.
  • Uncover areas of revenue opportunity in our customer and prospect base.
  • Contribute to integrated planning for Sales.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of operational experience, with at least 1 year in an analytical or operations capacity.
  • Experience with SaaS companies and/or supporting large Strategic/Enterprise accounts preferred. 
  • Comfort with tools that create and house our data:
    • Salesforce: complex dashboards & reports, custom report types, calculated fields, workflows.
    • Salesforce CPQ, Zuora, or other CPQ/Q2C tools.
    • Sales productivity tools (Clari, People.ai, Outreach.io, gong.io).
    • Anaplan or other business planning software.
    • Tableau or other analysis / business intelligence software.
  • Exceptional quantitative and MS Excel skills (sumifs, index/match and vlookup, table formulas).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Healthy skepticism and curiosity - seeks feedback with an open mind and strives for deeper understanding through data.
  • The desire and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Self starter that seeks solutions without being told. Delivers high quality, accurate work on time.
