Sales Development Rep

We're building AI-driven user experiences that embed information into employee workflows, starting with our AI solution for customer support teams: Agatha.Forethought has raised over $27M in VC funding from top-investors including Ashton Kutcher, Diddy, LL Cool J, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), and the CEOs of Robinhood, Front, and Carta. In 2018, Forethought launched and won at TechCrunch Disrupt -- the world's most prestigious startup competition -- and was featured in Forbes 30 Under 30. We are tackling a growing $30B+ market, fueled by the global demand for automation, and we’re assembling a world-class team to help us get there (current team includes Harvard, MIT, Forbes 30 under 30, Shark Tank, etc. alums). We're looking for a Sales Development Rep to join the team that is excited about growing their career in sales and wants to make an impact with a hyper-growth startup.
Responsibilities:
- Own the beginning stages of the sales process and be the first point of contact for potential customers
- Cold call and email key stakeholders to pitch the business value of Forethought
- Create, nurture and grow a pipeline of sales qualified prospects
- Work alongside our Account Executive team to facilitate discovery calls with qualified accounts.
- Follow-up on prospects quickly and within designated timeframes
- Participate in training sessions between you a manager or mentor to improve your knowledge and skills
- Handle prospect objections on the spot, and speak to the pain points of the prospect’s company
- Achieve weekly/monthly/quarterly quotas
Who You Are (Skills)
- (Preferred) Experience working in a people facing position (job, internship, club, volunteer work)
- (Preferred) Degree in business, sales, marketing, or any related field
- Highly organized and capable of working with many prospects and accounts at once
- Passionate about technology
- Strong relationship building skills
- Comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and driven by success
