Sales Account Manager
About the job
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Sales Account Manager to join us in Plano, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for the sales side of the team that understands the customer's requirements and promotes the sale of the company's products. You'll negotiate with the end user on pricing and terms based on solutions offered.
What you will do
- Maintain the CRM (Salesforce) tool, a vital tool used to manage customer relationships
- Serve as the main point of contact for the customer on products, prices, and terms
- Grow the business through upselling of current products as well as new product lines
- Prepare presentations regarding specific products/technologies
- Understand customer's requirements and how company's products fit within their environment
- Maintain accurate CRM Salesforce to forecast and monitor sales activities
- Forecast sales for quarterly and annual goals and maintain sales forecasting reports
- Ensure the renewal business meets sales targets
- Understand how changes in the tech market affect the customer environment to sell to end user Identify, nurture, and close opportunities with both new and existing customers
- Manage forecasts on a quarterly basis, and track customer data
- Liaise with internal and external partners to improve business and create solutions that serve both Red Hat and its customers
- Sell Red Hat's comprehensive enterprise solutions
- Manage forecasts, close deals, and track customer data using company-standard customer relationship management (CRM) tools
- Grow existing business relationships and acquire new business
- Meet assigned sales quotas
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering, or related field and 4+ years of experience in the job offered or related role OR no degree and 6+ years of experience in the job offered or related role
- 4+ years of experience with: quota-carrying software sales; solution sales in software or high-tech offerings; and datacenter and cloud technology sales
- 3+ years of experience with UNIX, Linux, Microsoft Windows, Virtualization, Storage, and Middleware solutions
- 2+ years of experience with: face-to-face software solution sales; and CRM tools
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time; all expenses paid by Red Hat, Inc.
