Software Sales Specialist - Management Automation
About the job
The Red Hat Management Automation sales team is looking for a Management Automation Sales Specialist to join us in St. Louis or Kansas City, MO or Denver, CO. In this role you will support our Mid Central customers. You will be responsible for Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform software subscription sales offerings and services for prospective and current accounts. You'll need to have the ability to understand customer needs and challenges and link them to a set of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform offerings. This is a senior-level sales position. Your tasks will include creating sales opportunities in both new and existing customer accounts through well-planned demand generation efforts.
What you will do
- Work with the Mid Central Sales team to plan the emerging technology strategy within a set of defined accounts
- Consult with customers to understand their core business drivers and technical requirements
- Present Red Hat's technical solutions and manage emerging technology opportunity cycles with customers from qualification to decision and procurement
- Guide customers from their initial interest in agile transformation to the adoption of Red Hat's cloud platform technologies, which will provide the technology foundation for improvement
- Gain the trust of senior IT and business executives within key accounts to create long-term partnerships
- Ensure that Red Hat's cloud platform solutions become the first choice for our strategic customers
What you will bring
- 8+ years of experience in a solutions sales role
- 4+ years of experience focused on enterprise automation systems like Chef or Puppet
- Broad technical experience with enterprise IT, focused on automating network and infrastructure services
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to executives at large firms
- Ability to sell solutions in a multi-product environment
- Ability to work well in a matrixed selling environment
- Proven ability to work with global cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers
- Balance of strategic and tactical skills
- Master's degree or equivalent is a plus
