Job summary
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an ISV Partner Alliance Manager to join us. In this role, you will manage a set list of tier 1 independent software vendors (ISVs) to build and deliver account management, executive relationships, and joint business plans and to guide enablement and engagement with the ISV partners and field sales teams. You'll need to be responsible with experience with joint sales and marketing demand generation activities with target ISVs. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities

  • Introduce emerging Red Hat technologies to your partners including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat AMQ, Red Hat Ceph Storage, and migration and automation
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the ISV Programs that Red Hat offers; negotiate agreements when necessary
  • Meet bookings growth, quota, and management by objectives (MBO) metrics
  • Work closely with sales, partner, and marketing teams to develop outstanding partnerships and go-to-market strategies resulting in sales of joint partner and Red Hat solutions
  • Manage account business planning, e.g., Channel and Alliance Management Process (CHAMP)
  • Own and manage ISV account profiles, solution portfolios, pipelines in salesforce.com (SFDC), and other reporting tools and report on the business in timely manner
  • Guide end-to-end cooperation with Business Units, Products and Technology, Global Partner Alliances, Global Marketing, Solution Architect, and Red Hat Services teams


Required skills

  • 5+ years of software sales experience or software alliances experience with a focus on business and technical skills; experience with Red Hat's technology is a plus
  • Insights into how best to partner and how to address competitors in a partnership role
  • Deep business and technical understanding of Red Hat's solutions portfolio and value proposition of our ISVs, other partners, and customers
  • Complete understanding of the ISV product solutions development life cycle, both business and technical
  • Experience using and managing accounts and opportunities in SFDC
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to various partners, customers, or events, following Red Hat's COVID-19 guidelines
