Work Locations - Birmingham, AL; Houston, TX; Philadelphia, PA; Phoenix, AZ or Nashville, TN; will potentially consider Work at Home in these locations and across the USA

Responsible for generating new membership into Cigna's Medicare plan options on the merits and benefits of the Plans, including provisions of care and how they address the needs of Medicare beneficiaries. Responsible for developing leads through inbound calls, conducting outbound calls, interacting virtually with online shoppers and working assigned leads. Assign callers to local sales seminars that prefer a community event to enroll.

This role will adhere to the Federal and State regulations governing the representation and sale of Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and Part D plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet sales quotas (daily, weekly, monthly goals)
  • Handle inbound calls with the intent to enroll over the phone as long as the customer confirms eligibility and willingness to do so, after presenting all benefits and services of the appropriate plan.
  • Make outbound calls to existing Cigna customers to educate and upsell customers on one of our Medicare products.
  • Handle inbound calls in response to an advertised sales seminar, with the intent to offer enrollment by phone or an in home meeting, and if necessary register for a local sales seminar.
  • Self-generate referrals from inbound/outbound calls through leads with consent to contact
  • Enter and track all leads in Cigna Medicare contact management system and follow up on those leads in a timely manner providing accurate dispositions of leads with follow-up information.
  • Participate in assigned sales team events and special projects including out-bound calls to supplied leads;
  • Provide feedback and guidance on market changes, marketing campaigns, plan operations, and delivery system issues.
  • Participate in internal monitoring audits and coaching feedback sessions to review schedule adherence, quality, selling skills and compliance
  • Send out marketing cards as assigned (thank you, trying to reach you)
  • Other duties as assigned.



What you should have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2-5 years successful direct to consumer sales experience required
  • Excellent customer focused phone skills to create rapport, express complex medical services and adhere to strict call scripting, policy and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and presentation communication skills
  • Experience interacting with the senior population preferred
  • Experience in developing self-generated business preferred
  • Self-started, flexible, adaptable, highly organized and proactive
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems created and presented by the business environment, regulations, internal processes, and system limitations
  • Must possess solid time management skills and the ability to prioritize assignments in order to maximize sales opportunities
  • Ability to Multi Task
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment within established company guidelines
  • Must possess strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with excellent Word skills required; proprietary contact management system (Pivotal) experience preferred.
  • Must commit to and adhere to a phone schedule and shift.
  • Data entry and use of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool
  • Ability to talk and type at the same time (proficient two handed typing)
  • Willing to work on weekends and holidays
  • Life and Health Insurance license preferred or must be obtained within 60 days of hire
