Our property team members focus on bringing our business to life at each of our buildings with a focus on execution, and resident and guest experience. Our non-property team members focus on supporting property execution and the evolution of the other areas of the platform. The non-property roles are remote-first with the option to work out of our DC or SF offices. We think in-person collaboration and bonding is extremely important, so our remote-first team members participate in quarterly in-person retreats with their teams at various locations across the U.S.

As Group and Business Travel Sales Manager you will be responsible for driving group bookings, establishing LRN's from local corporate customers and supporting our group business within our Nashville market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement group and business travel strategies that support both Nashville properties
  • Handle Business Travel and Corporate group accounts so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are completed.
  • Develop and maintain market awareness to ensure the ability to predict future revenue opportunities
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure we maximize RevPAR and operational efficiencies
  • Respond to RFP's that come directly to Placemakr or through third-party platforms
  • Support Senior Director of Sales with the group and BT sales presentations - on a local and national scale
  • Maintain active liaison with competitors through personal contacts and professional associations
  • Conduct onsite tours and client offsite meetings, that include hosting client and industry events
  • Participate in public relations and promotional activities
  • Represent the brands in the Nashville community, industry events, and organizations
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the hotels market and demand generators
  • Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must live in the Nashville area
  • Minimum 1-3 years of Hospitality sales experience with a Group or Business Travel background
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate work experience
  • You have experience using HubSpot as a CRM tool
  • You are knowledgeable about the travel industry, current market trends, and economic factors
  • You have excellent communication skills and can relate to all types of customers; familiarity with organizations such as ERC, GBTA, and SHRM is a plus
  • You love building relationships and are motivated by goal setting
  • You are a self-starter and love the hustle
  • You are organized, have strong attention to detail, and can multitask
