Job summary
The Red Hat North American (NA) Sales team is looking for a Sales Specialist to join us. In this role, you will build, expand, and evangelize our global and regional system integrator (GSI or RSI) ecosystem for open hybrid cloud and edge technologies. You'll be leading our emerging technology go-to-market through managing GSI workloads on OpenShift and endpoints on Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform to modernize NA accounts. You'll need to be able to build go-to-market paths from the ground up using deep technical and entrepreneurial expertise. To succeed in this role, you'll need a solid understanding of manufacturing and industrial verticals. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities

  • Determine the vertical applicability and go-to-market routes for GSI partners
  • Work with the Red Hat Business Unit, Engineering, Partner Sales and Emerging Technology teams to build GSI go-to-market for all of North America commercial (NAC) and North America Public Sector (NAPS)
  • Work with the Red Hat Sales team on key pursuits with the GSI
  • Gain the trust of senior IT and business executives within key partners and accounts to create long-term partnerships
  • Ensure that Red Hat's Application Services, OpenShift, and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform become the first choice for our strategic customers
  • Evangelize benefits of adopting open standards within core vertical business solutions.
  • Facilitate organizational and workforce transformation, customer, and associate experience and human-centered design
  • Serve as a consultant to the field on manufacturing/industrial industry key performance indicator (KPIs) and trends


Required skills

  • 3+ years of experience supporting large program capture initiatives including writing technical, cost, and past performance sections for proposals, including requests for information (RFI), request for proposal (RFP), etc.
  • 3+ years of experience in a solutions sales, agile transformation, or similar role
  • 2+ years of experience in project management, product management, or similar role
  • 2+ years of experience focused on modern agile application delivery frameworks and platforms like Kubernetes, Docker, or Red Hat OpenShift and technical experience with enterprise databases, AI/ML, analytics, or low-code software, or 2+ years of experience with automation platforms like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible and technical experience with networking, storage, compute, or ServiceNow
  • Experience with how above technologies are used to some vertically specific challenges
  • Background in consultative customer engagement with a consulting or technology company or organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to executives at large companies
  • Ability to sell solutions in a multiproduct environment
  • Proven ability to work with global cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers
  • Ability to maintain a balance of strategic and tactical skills
  • Excellent leadership ability to influence, manage, motivate, and organize people effectively to achieve business targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate real-world challenges that accompany enterprise-wide technology initiatives
  • Passionate about helping organizations reimagine the future of work and workforce experience
