As a Director of Sales Development at InfluxData, you’ll get the opportunity to oversee the entire team in the Sales Development organization. This is no ordinary SDR Management position. You will get the opportunity to use your incredible experience in a strategic approach up front by defining and managing a brand new Cloud sales approach to help identify, qualify, unblock, and enable — often technically — InfluxDB Cloud users. Tied this is a great opportunity, you will be up to the challenge of helping your team perform and exceed expectations by training, coaching, and mentoring them to drive impactful results. You’ll also partner closely with our Marketing and Sales teams to align on integrated campaigns, strategic business initiatives, improve processes, and ultimately generate qualified meetings and pipeline for InfluxData’s Sales organization.

What you will be doing:

  • As the Global leader, you will own the entire vision and execution of the SDR function by building a winning strategy, set goals, and measure performance against weekly, monthly and quarterly objectives
  • Innovate and take InfluxData’s world class Global SDR team to the next level by overseeing the recruiting, hiring and enablement of SDRs and SDR Managers processes.  This is key to ensure growth and efficiency at scale while hiring and developing talent to build the bench of InfluxData’s future sellers, sales engineering, customer success managers and even product managers.
  • Work cross-functionally with growth, marketing, sales, and sales operations to develop strategies and execution plans to enable developers to successful use InfluxDB Cloud and develop meaningful, quality pipeline
  • Motivate and mentor SDR and SDRs Managers to exceed goals through coaching and incentives and grow their careers
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing Operations to ensure the SDR tech stack is configured and optimized for maximum SDR efficiency and productivity. Particularly tools such as Groove, SFDC, LinkedIN, Gong, Zoom Info and Marketo
  • Plan, forecast, and adjust capacity to ensure SDR team is growing effectively and efficiently and in tandem with the needs of the Sales Organization and inbound demand from Marketing

Location Information: Some of these roles that are posted in different locations denote that they’re open in general to remote candidates within the areas that we support. From a remote perspective, we currently support Canada, the UK, Germany, Italy and the US.


Interview Process: All our interviews are done remotely. Often the first interview is by phone or video and all subsequent interviews via video on Zoom.
