Description:

The Sr. Director of Sales, Americas Service will inspire and lead the commercial sales team for Tektronix's Service organization in the Americas. We are looking for a leader that will be responsible for evolving and implementing customer acquisition & retention strategies that purposefully grow revenue by acquiring new customers, expanding revenue with existing customers, and taking market share.

In this role you will be reporting directly to the GM of the Americas Service organization. Additionally, you will direct and impact a team of over 40 professionals including New Business Development Managers, Retention Sales Managers, Sales Operations, and Customer Service Representatives.

Responsibilities

  • Create the plans and strategies for developing a successful commercial funnel and exceeding sales goals. Apply Daily Management / Visual Management and Problem Solving to drive organization direction and activity.
  • Communicate and advocate a shared vision and strategy for the commercial team that clearly highlights linkage and contribution to the larger organization strategy.
  • Maintain strong relationships with strategic customers and partners.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop an extraordinary team & talent pipeline through accelerating development of high potential and promotable employees and modeling what it means to be a talent multiplier.
  • Set S.M.A.R.T expectations for team and drive excellence by holding team members accountable.
  • Articulate the value of the Fortive Business Systems (FBS) through defined sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and continuous improvements.
  • Advocate for customer delight and partner with Operational leaders to implement plans to continually improve services.
  • Communicate efficiently with cross-functional teams, interact at all levels within the organization, and lead employee engagement initiatives.



Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Validated and successful record of delivering above-market results and share gains in the high-tech or services industry.
  • Outstanding competitive and commercial drive, and ability to use sales and marketing levers to build and deliver strategies to win in a competitive marketplace.
  • Technical ability to articulate industry trends, understand the capabilities and translate information into future business opportunities.
  • Extensive experience in direct sales: Success developing deep, inclusive relationships with key customers (i.e., key account management).
  • Successful validated sales operation experience as a process and metrics driven sales leader, emphasizing funnel development and management, and ongoing measurement.
  • An ability to lead and build followership through transformation; a change agent who can create a vision and plan and create customer engagement.
