The Manager - New Business is a leadership role which will require managing others as well as being a subject matter expert in sales who can coach. Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, this role will help the sales team evangelize the company message to prospects around the US across multiple industry verticals. The Manager - New Business will manage 2-6 business development executives and will assist with client pursuits in a senior/escalatory manner.
This role may be based in Syndigo's office in Cleveland, Nashville, or Chicago and may require travel of 10-15%.
Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor to a team of 2-6 business development executives (BDE's)
  • BDE's managed will be required to, and therefore this role will coach on issues including: o Generating leads through professional networking and cold calling techniques
  • Prospecting within assigned territory to achieve individual quota goals
  • Monitor core KPI's around outreach and opportunity management
  • Exemplify a team-first attitude and embrace change
  • Lead and teach negotiations required in a full sales lifecycle
  • Drive a culture of transparency, communication, collaboration, and accountability
  • Execute on initiatives as directed by commercial team leadership
  • Write and deliver performance reviews for direct reports, including developing and managing PIPs where needed
  • Work with marketing on lead campaigns
  • Train and reinforce ValueSelling methodology among team members
  • Identify and select high-potential candidates for team


Experience required

  • 5+ years in B2B new logo sales, preferably data-driven SaaS, or software solutions around product information management / digital asset management
  • Track record as a closer, ability to understand how to navigate organizations to find the right contacts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience with ValueSelling methodology preferred
  • Experience with Salesloft, ZoomInfo, Gong, and other sales enablement tools helpful
