About the Role

As the Business Development Manager, you will drive business development opportunities and partnerships for new customer acquisition and revenue targets. You’ll be the go-to person for implementing critical programs for business development, and you’ll drive your own pipeline of new partners to acquire and existing partners to strategically manage. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and get to flex your critical thinking, analytical, and execution skills. 

You’ll report to our Head of Sales and can work in our NYC headquarters or work remotely from anywhere in the continental United States.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement the BD & Sales Channel programs to grow customer acquisition and user lifecycle benefit at GlossGenius; continuously identify creative new channels to pursue to execute on the BD strategy  
  • Bring BD programs to market, pitching, closing and implementing for maximum deal flow and qualityManage a pipeline of existing partners and continuously prospect net new partners; ensure best-in-class, methodical deal management rooted in milestone management, KPIs, and alignment with partners on opportunities of mutual interest, including scoping out financial opportunities and analytical cases for partner pitches 
  • Drive measurable increases in the number of leads and paying customers that BD partnerships generates over time
  • Collaborate with other Go-To-Market team members on support and marketing enablement for partners; identify key needs for Partners that can be built into defensible partner programs

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of sales or business development experience 
  • A passion for leading through change in a high-paced, fast-changing and sometimes ambiguous work environment; a passion for solving hard problems and getting things done
  • Experience with targeting, prospecting, pitching, and closing customers (or partners); a demonstrated knack for methodical pipeline management and velocity 
  • Comfort presenting externally and crafting the value props of business development opportunities; ability to creatively iterate on the pitch to help deliver partner value 
  • Experience negotiating contracts, prices and/or product timelines
  • Keen ability to iterate on approach, messages, pitch, playbook and business development programs to drive to results and KPI attainment 
  • Strong command of quantitative and qualitative data analysis and using data to drive decision-making
