Joining Collibra’s Sales Leadership team:

  • We're looking for an Area Vice President (AVP) who will be responsible for driving Collibra's business in the Central (Great Lakes) region
  • You will directly manage 6-8 account executives and hold a sales quota for your region
  • This is a highly collaborative role as you will be working with team leaders across a variety of functions including Sales Engineering, SalesOps, Enablement and Business Development. 
  • You will coach and develop your account executives to show the business value Collibra provides to our customers and prospects
  • You will attract top talent and build a high performing team to help achieve our sales objectives

Area Vice Presidents at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Developing the revenue plan for your region that includes a balanced approach of acquiring new customers and expanding existing customers
  • Attracting, hiring, onboarding, retaining, coaching, and inspiring top sales talent
  • Coaching account executives through prospecting, positioning and deal structuring activities
  • Being a coach and executive sponsor in highly complex, enterprise deals 
  • Forecasting a quarterly revenue number to the business
  • Providing insights to help optimize internal processes and external market positioning 

You have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree; MBA a plus
  • A proven track record in software sales, successfully selling solutions at the C-level with significant experience of direct sales management
  • History of exceeding company sales quotas in a complex sales environment
  • Experience and enthusiasm in building a team of successful SaaS software sales professionals, including implementing the right market and performance metrics
  • Significant leadership experience in high growth SaaS organisations.

  • An excellent C-level communicator and possess strong influencing and persuasion skills
  • Customer centric
  • Passionate about attracting, hiring, onboarding, retaining, coaching, and inspiring top sales talent
  • A builder, enabling the growing regional team through mentorship around increasingly complex sales cycles, use cases, enterprise stakeholder mapping, and negotiations
  • Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of business needs and revenue potential for accounts in the assigned region
  • Willing to travel as needed throughout the region

  • Achieving your sales objectives
  • Developing account executives to achieve higher productivity
  • Building a highly engaged, high performing sales team

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

There are several things in our employee benefits that I need such as remote work and flexible schedule. I'll go to the gym in the morning, then I’ll start late. Sometimes I work late, sometimes I work on Saturday, but then on Monday, I won’t work. I can maintain that flexibility as long as I deliver my work.

The culture has typically been open. It has certainly been kind. I think that those are the two big ones for me, which is just information sharing and openness in a way that's positive. If we have something that we can course correct on, share it, but do it in a way that’s positive or proactive.

I never thought I’d be teaching a team that’s already been with Collibra for a year. It’s phenomenal. My manager asked me to show my emails and my messaging to the team of 15. There is a lot to learn here, and I had only been here for two months.
